Proposal from Grace Yacoub (Flat 19)

Grace has kindly used her professional skills to look at the block holistically and come up with some ideas of how to address the externals and some of the linked internals, notably the ground floor and entrance. The Management Committee largely agree with the excellent proposals and would like to start a conversation on this.

The priority remains the externals, particularly the common part windows, which we are pushing Savills to try to do before the winter. The ground floor and entrance internals we will work on in parallel, so they can be actioned after the externals are completed.

Overall, Grace’s proposal is to lean into the 1960s block and restore it to its former glory. She has highglighted that cleaning the stonework around the balconies and the mosaic could have a marked improvement. We had voted on removing the mosaic, but we feel it would be worth revisiting this to see whether a good clean could make a significant difference and save us having to replace them.
